8th Annual
Run for Grace 5K

It's time for our 8th Annual Run for Grace 5K!!!

We are gearing up for our 8th Annual 5K Run for Grace, to be held on Saturday, May 11th, 2024!

This is Rev. Richard Moore, the Pastor of Pilgrim Reformed Church in Lexington, and I am very pleased to be writing you this letter because I’m bringing good news from our past and for the future.  First I’d like to let you know that God has richly blessed our efforts and with the overwhelming response of our great friends and neighbors like you, we  – you and our church family – have raised around $82,000.00 for the Workshop of Davidson through our annual 5K Runs for Grace and our 2020 Runner-less Run!  This has been a team effort all along, involving not just our Pilgrim Church family, but also good people from all over our community and beyond, people who gave of their time and resources to help the Workshop.  God is good, all the time!  And so are the people of Davidson County!

This is the second year of holding the run in May, and we are delighted to be able to hold races again after the pandemic put a halt to them. Proceeds will once again benefit the Workshop of Davidson, which serves developmentally and intellectually disabled individuals in Davidson County by giving them a safe place to train, work, and grow in their vocational and personal lives.  The Workshop has seen their funding reduced over the years, so PRC wanted to help fill the gap.  And, once again, we are asking for your help to make this another successful fundraiser for The Workshop. We are seeking financial assistance, such as donations of money for sponsorships and prizes, goodie-bag giveaway items, snacks and other items for our runners.  We would also greatly appreciate your prayers and non-monetary and moral support by spreading word of this race and encouraging runners you know to sign up and participate.

Thank you very much for your consideration in helping to make our 8th Run for Grace 5K a rousing success!

But we also need sponsors, lots of sponsors.  We need folks and businesses who are willing to help the Workshop stay open by sponsoring the 5K run with donations of anywhere from $2500 to $100!  And we need some giveaways, for the goodie bags we give our runners.  These can be promotional items, discount coupons, or anything of that nature.  If you know of someone who may be willing to sponsor this year's run, please download and print these two forms and hand them to that person or business:
